31/07/16 – Just over a month ago now I had a dream that, to be honest, ever since has been playing on my mind. I had no idea what God was telling me through it or what it meant. I hadn’t yet had the opportunity to tell one of my Pastors about it, that was until today..
I had fallen asleep at my friends house…
I ‘wake up’ and the news is on, I’m where I fell asleep – there has been a shoot out at some kind of event and they are showing a video from someone who was there recording it. Turns out it was a gospel event and there were black gospel singer women in the choir all in gold robes (American). One by one the were falling – as if there were fainting. That’s what it seemed like but because we (as the watching) knew what had happened – it was obvious to see that they had been shot. You could see blood seeping through their robes. One woman, as she was dying, said; “I just want my son.” They were all falling on top of one another, a heap of women on stage.
I stopped watching it and turned to face my friend and behind him was a window which took up the whole length of the wall, out of which you could see the view of the city – we were quite high up. What stood out to me was that the sky was light as though it was midday but I knew it was 3 am; it should have been dark. Within seconds, I saw what could only be described as a bomb being dropped from the sky. I watched as it came down and in those few seconds I felt it was the end of the world.
As soon as it landed, everything went pitch black – it was as though I was in space, I couldn’t see, hear, sense anything. At first I thought the electricity had gone but I couldn’t sense anything at all. I couldn’t feel R and so tried to reach out but couldn’t. Then I felt I was dead but I still had awareness so I didn’t know what was happening. I was trying to wake myself up even though it felt real.
Eventually I woke up for real, I felt as though I had been suffocated.
As I awoke, the news was on in the background about a shooting that had happened in a night club, I honestly just felt as though I just had a premonition about what was just about to happen, the only thing that made me sure it wasn’t was that there was no window like the one I had seen in my dream.
That is what I told my Pastor today. He said that God is calling me into prayer, more specifically, Intercession.
He said that God doesn’t want me to focus on the small things anymore but on the bigger issues in this world. To pray for Leaders, nations, countries etc. He brought up Abraham and the story of Sodom and Gomorrah (which is so ironic as that is exactly where I’ve been feeling and saying the world is at the moment) and that God had told him about saving the city.
So I’m to pray about the future. But I don’t think this is just for me, I think we are all meant to pray. Not just for ourselves, our families, our friends but our countries, our government, other countries, their government, their leadership, the church, the people of God, Christians and the future of this world. We are to join together to bring heaven to Earth because I can honestly tell you, nothing has ever felt that real than what happened in that dream and I’m so assured that it could become a reality if we don’t move as one body now. We have to act now and quickly because time is running out, darkness is already consuming the land – we have to pray against it, calling all spiritual forces to fight. We have been at war in the spiritual realm for so long and now it is starting to manifest into the physical which means something, it means that we have to suit up and put on the full armor of God.
Brothers and sisters it’s time to stand together, put on the full armor and and pray. Ephesians 6:10-19.
